Intimacy Practitioners South Africa
IPSA was founded in 2020 as a non profit organisation with the objective of being able to work with many of the stakeholders in the film and television industry in South Africa to develop best practice protocols for working with intimacy and simulated sex.
Since it's launch, not only has it continued to be a central voice in the protocols document, but it has also started to pull together a community of intimacy practitioners who have been working or training in the field of intimacy coordination.
The task now for IPSA going forward is to support the growth and development of the intimacy coordination sector, diversifying the field, finding affordable pathways into the industry and making sure that South Africa has Intimacy Coordinators that work at an international level, while serving both the National and International productions that are created in South Africa, for both local and international audiences.
